Pratt Songs

The only common thread of the records reviewed here is that they are -- or were at one time -- available to be checked out from the Enoch Pratt Free Library in Baltimore.

This is not an official library site, I do not work for the library, and the library probably doesn't even know that it -- or I -- exist.

A new record review (well, CD review) will be added a couple of times per week, probably on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Albums reviewed on Pratt Songs can receive up to 5 EPFL library cards.

5: should be heard by all music fans; a "perfect" album
4: best of genre; sets a standard within its genre
3: just better than average; good for fans of the genre, and okay for everyone else
2: below average; listenable for fans of a genre, but only if there's nothing else to hear
1: poor, and whatever good qualities it has can't save it
0.5: no redeeming qualities whatsoever.
